Regarding the organization

The Panhellenic Exporters Association (PSE), the competent body for exports, was founded in 1945 and is the country’s central export organization. Its members are exporting companies, cooperatives, and export organizations from all sectors and from all geographic regions of the country.

Purpose of PSE

The purpose of PSE is the promotion of its members’ interests, as well as the strengthening of export activity within the framework of the broader national policy and the outward orientation of the national economy.

Over its decades of continuous activity, the Association is positioned to contribute effectively to the modernization of the country’s export base, to its qualitative upgrading, and to the better exploitation of the new conditions that have emerged in international trade. With its decades-long history, the country’s central export organization maintains a sustained presence and intervention in the decision-making process concerning exporters:

- In Government and the representatives of Public Administration

- In the bodies of Economic Diplomacy

- In export support organizations

- In the mass media, etc.

PSE plays a significant role in promoting the demands of exporting enterprises through the institutional participation of its representatives in Committees or Advisory Councils of various State Organizations and Councils, including in particular:

- The National Council for Extroversion

- The Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI)

- The Trade Facilitation Committee, etc.

From the thorough analysis of export developments during the current decade, it becomes clear that a new development model is now required, with the outward orientation of the Greek economy as the key objective. This model should include, among others, the following fields:

- Programs to support Extroversion and Competitiveness

- Financing of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)

- Strengthening the Economic and Commercial Affairs (ECA) Offices

- Actions to limit and address bureaucracy

- Modernization of customs authorities and customs procedures

- Addressing problems arising from foreign authorities in issuing import licenses and customs clearance

- Issues of unfair competition from other countries, etc.

The Board of Directors and the staff of PSE plan and support a new development model for the Greek economy, with extroversion as a core pillar. For this reason, members of the Panhellenic Exporters Association are given the opportunity to participate in shaping its policy, determining its actions toward Public Administration, and developing its positions on the sector’s problems and prospects.

At the core goals of PSE and of the new Administration, which is composed of entrepreneurs with proven and long-standing experience in the export sector, are the overall outward orientation of the Greek economy and the support of the country’s exports. By enhancing its efforts to provide even more immediate and more efficient services to its member companies, PSE offers a range of benefits. In this context, the Association’s members gain privileged access to actions such as:

Communication with our members includes the monthly Newsletter and regular press releases that are sent to more than 18,000 recipients, achieving impressive readability figures (85% opens, 67% reads). Through these, we highlight important news, analyses, and actions related to the export community, as well as our members’ news.
